LAS VEGAS — Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) filed for re-election in Nevada’s Third Congressional District alongside volunteers, supporters from local advocacy groups, and Assemblyman Steve Yeager.

“Serving families, businesses and the community of southern Nevada for the past three years has been the honor of my life. I’ve also been humbled by the enormous responsibility I have to fight for southern Nevada in Washington,” said Congresswoman Lee. “These past two years have been especially tough for our community as we’ve battled the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet, we are on the pathway to a full recovery, thanks to critical relief packages that I am proud to have helped craft and pass. I will continue to fight for Nevada families, businesses and communities, and I will do everything I can to ensure that southern Nevada grows stronger than ever.”

Since entering office in 2018, Congresswoman Lee has been an advocate for southern Nevadans in Washington. At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, as southern Nevada’s travel and tourism economy ground to a halt, she voted to pass COVID relief funding, including the CARES Act, and as a member of the Problem Solvers Caucus, was a key negotiator of the December 2020 COVID relief package. Congresswoman Lee also voted to pass the American Rescue Plan (ARP) to give working families the direct relief they needed to get back on their feet and to keep small businesses afloat. As a bipartisan leader, Congresswoman Lee played a critical role in negotiating the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), which is already bringing vital funding to Nevada to repair the state’s roads and bridges, strengthen its public transportation system, and make the Silver State a leader in the clean energy economy.
