Congresswoman Susie Lee Receives Endorsements From Southern Nevada Moms

July 20, 2022

LAS VEGAS — Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) received the endorsements of dozens of moms across southern Nevada. These endorsements come just a few months before November’s general election. Women and moms are a key voting bloc and their turnout in the 2022 election will be critical to Congresswoman Lee’s re-election, which is key to maintaining the Democratic majority in the House of Representatives.

Moms in Nevada’s Third District and across this country make the majority of spending decisions for their families, and also do the heavy lifting of child care. They’re concerned about the rising cost-of-living and keeping their kids safe in school, and these moms know that Congresswoman Lee has their back and is working day in and day out to get prices down and keep their families safe.

“As a mother of two, I am committed to doing what it takes to support our mothers in Nevada and across America. From advocating for affordable, high-quality child care to supporting paid family leave, I am working to ensure that our moms have the resources they need to provide for their children,” said Congresswoman Lee. “I will always deliver for southern Nevada moms, and I will keep fighting so that our families can thrive.”

“As a mom and an advocate for investing in public education, I have full confidence that Congresswoman Susie Lee will continue to ensure that every Nevada child has access to the high-quality education that they deserve,” said Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro. “Congresswoman Lee is not only a champion for our public schools, but has also worked to guarantee that our students are safe in their classrooms and that our communities are free from gun violence. I know that Congresswoman Lee will continue to support our children and families, and I am proud to endorse her for re-election.”

“As mothers of two, my wife and I are concerned about the future for our children. But we know that with leaders like Congresswoman Susie Lee in Washington D.C. Nevada families will always come first,” said Senator Dallas Harris. “Susie has fought to ensure health care is affordable and accessible for all Nevada families, secured hundreds of millions of dollars in education funding, and is standing up for our state’s veterans. I trust Susie Lee to deliver for Nevadans and I am proud to endorse her campaign for re-election.”

“Congresswoman Lee is a true champion for our families. Her long-standing commitments to improving our public education system and to ensuring the economic wellbeing and health of southern Nevadans are evident in her everyday actions,” said Dr. Tiffany Tyler-Garner. “Congresswoman Lee’s ability to reach across the aisle and her dedication to delivering real solutions for us are unparalleled, and I’m proud to support her as she continues to work on behalf of southern Nevada.”

Congresswoman Lee introduced the Small Business Child Care Investment Act to expand access to affordable child care across Nevada. Additionally, at the height of the pandemic, she voted for the American Rescue Plan to expand the Child Tax Credit and bring critical relief to America’s mothers and families. Congresswoman Lee also voted for the Lower Food and Fuel Costs Act to bring down costs at the pump and the grocery store and ease the burden on parents.
