Received “100%” Rating on Legislative Scorecard
LAS VEGAS — Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) announced that she has earned the endorsement of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security & Medicare (NCPSSM). More than half a million Nevadans are enrolled in Medicare and have earned Social Security benefits.
Founded in 1982, the Committee is one of the largest retirement advocacy organizations in the country, with millions of members and supporters that work to defend Americans and Nevadans’ hard-earned benefits. Susie has been recognized by the Committee for her steadfast support for these programs with a “100%” rating on their most recent Legislative Scorecard, which measures how supportive elected officials are for Social Security and Medicare.
“The National Committee to Preserve Social Security & Medicare is proud to endorse Rep. Susie Lee for re-election because she has, and will always, stand up to far-right attempts to cut Nevadans’ hard-earned Social Security and Medicare,” said Max Richtman, President and CEO of NCPSSM. “Rep. Lee has worked tirelessly to lower costs and strengthen health care and economic protections for seniors and working families. It’s critical that we send Rep. Lee back to Washington and stop extremists from gutting Social Security and Medicare.”
“I have always fought to protect Nevadans’ retirement because working families like the one I grew up in don’t deserve to have their hard-earned Social Security and Medicare taken away,” said Susie Lee. “I’m grateful for the endorsement of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security & Medicare and for their nationwide work to build coalitions of local, state, and federal partners in an all-hands-on-deck effort to protect seniors’ benefits.”
While Susie is fighting to protect Social Security and Medicare, her far-right opponent Drew Johnson is coming after seniors’ retirement — he wants to cut Social Security benefits by 30% and repeal the Affordable Care Act. He even said that retired seniors are “socialist(s) suckling off the teat of gov’t.”

Unlike her opponent who has never rolled up his sleeves to help southern Nevada, Susie has delivered for working families as the most bipartisan Member of Congress and one of the most independent voices in Washington. She helped pass historic investments in our infrastructure and public safety, lowered prescription drug costs, and brought back innovative industries and good-paying jobs to Nevada. Republican Governor Joe Lombardo also endorsed Susie’s bipartisan legislation to lower housing costs by cutting government red tape.
