New TV Ad: Pro-Choice Susie Lee vs. Anti-Choice April Becker

On the heels of the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade,  the decision that guaranteed the right to an abortion, Susie Lee for Congress launched its first TV ad of the 2022 cycle. The ad demonstrates the clear choice for voters between Susie Lee’s record of defending reproductive rights and April Becker’s anti-choice stance. 

The ad will run on TV and digital platforms for at least three weeks, totaling a more than $500,000 investment in the opening weeks of Susie Lee’s general election campaign against her anti-choice opponent, April Becker.

Becker is out of touch with Nevada voters who voted to protect a woman’s right to an abortion by a two-to-one margin in a 1990 ballot initiative. Becker has received the endorsements of the radical anti-choice groups Nevada Right to Life and Susan B. Anthony List, both organizations that want to make all abortions against the law, even in cases of rape and incest. Becker has brushed off protecting abortion access as a red herring issue, proving just how out of touch she is with the majority of Nevadans.

As one of the most competitive races in the country, Susie Lee’s race will help decide control of Congress and the fate of reproductive rights. If Republicans take the majority in the House, they’ve already signaled they will move to enact a nationwide abortion ban.

Congresswoman Susie Lee is endorsed by Planned Parenthood and has been a staunch advocate for reproductive rights. Lee voted to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act to codify Roe v. Wade into law and protect abortion providers.
