NEW TV AD: Susie Lee Lays Out the Stakes for Abortion Rights, Highlights Opponent April Becker’s Cruel, Extreme Views

LAS VEGAS — Today, Susie Lee for Congress launched its second TV ad of the 2022 cycle. The ad underscores April Becker’s pro-life stance and her endorsement from National Right to Life, a radical, pro-life organization that supports a nationwide abortion ban with no exceptions, and Susie Lee’s staunch commitment to defending the right to choose.

The six-figure ad buy will run on TV and digital platforms starting Tuesday,   as the campaign continues to draw a sharp contrast between Susie Lee and pro-life April Becker.

Becker is out of touch with Nevada voters who voted to protect a woman’s right to an abortion by a two-to-one margin in a 1990 ballot initiative. Becker accepted the endorsement of National Right to Life and its Nevada affiliate, Nevada Right to Life, which applauded the fall of Roe v. Wade as “a necessary step to allow the process of ridding our nation of abortion to advance.” In July, a National Right to Life official told POLITICO that a 10-year-old Ohio rape victim who traveled to Indiana to receive abortion care should have been forced to birth the baby, saying “as many women who have had babies as a result of rape, we would hope that she would understand the reason and ultimately the benefit of having a child.” Becker dodged two opportunities to debate Susie Lee and discuss her position on abortion.

As one of the most competitive races in the country, Susie Lee’s race will help decide control of Congress and the fate of reproductive rights across the United States. Republicans are already considering taking up legislation to enact a nationwide abortion ban if they take control of the House.

Susie Lee is endorsed by Planned Parenthood and has been a champion for reproductive rights. Lee voted to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act to codify Roe v. Wade into law and protect abortion providers.
