Susie Lee Files for Re-Election to Congress Alongside Union, Business Leaders

March 11, 2026

Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) joined representatives from southern Nevada’s union and small business communities to officially file for re-election in Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District.

“Southern Nevadans are struggling with rising grocery costs, young people can’t afford housing, and the President’s war with Iran is raising costs at the gas pump. Meanwhile, Republicans in Congress have had every chance to stand up to this President, but instead they’ve taken a back seat,” said Congresswoman Susie Lee. “That’s what this race is all about: we’re going to flip the House in November and be a brick wall to this Administration’s reckless policies that are raising costs for hardworking Americans. The working class built our country, and they’re worth fighting for.”

“Susie Lee is one of the biggest supporters of No Tax on Tips, and that’s something that’s very important to me and to the service industry that I work for. She understands that we need relief – all of us, but especially us tipped workers. Unions and the working class built this amazing city of ours, we keep it running 24/7 – particularly our service workers who work tirelessly to keep our economy going,” said Joe Spica, Culinary 226 Shop Steward. “It hasn’t been smooth or easy this year, though. Chaotic policies from this Administration are hurting our city. They’re driving people away from coming to Las Vegas, and when they do come, they spend less. That’s bad for everybody. We need a voice in the room where decisions are being made and people in office who actually give a damn and will fight for us. Susie Lee is that person. When we fight, we win, and when we vote, we win.”

“LiUNA 872 is in strong support of Congresswoman Susie Lee, and we are going to support the campaign to re-elect Congresswoman Susie Lee,” said Nerysay “Sy” Naoum, LiUNA 872. “She’s been a champion for labor, she’s been an advocate for prevailing wages, and she’s been an advocate for collective bargaining. She’s all about the working class – putting us to work and keeping us working so that we can support our families with liveable wages.”

“What we need more than ever is for our state to be represented by people who care about us, and I can say 100% that Susie Lee cares,” said Juanny Romero, owner of Mothership Coffee Roasters. “She cares about our small businesses, she cares about our unions, and she cares about the future of Nevada. On behalf of the small business community, I’m so thankful and grateful that she’s going to bat for us in Congress.”

Susie Lee represents Nevada’s Third Congressional District in Congress, where she has been named one of the most bipartisan Members of Congress and one of the most independent voices in Washington. Before running for Congress, Susie started a comprehensive homeless shelter to help the most vulnerable members of our community, and she led the leading statewide dropout prevention program, Communities in Schools of Nevada.
